WHEN SORROW WILL BE NO MORE!

                                                           Revelation 21:1-4

INTRODUCTION: Suffering is common to all mankind. Jesus said: John 16:33. Why is there so

much suffering in this world? We don’t always know why some seem to suffer their whole life

long and others only suffer intermittently. But thank God there is coming a day when suffering

will be no more!

I. THERE WILL BE NO MORE TEARS!

Revelation 21:1-4: In this world we need tears. Keep in mind; tears are a gift from our God

for this present world. Tears are a blessing, they help us release our emotions. Those who

never weep are bottling up their emotions and it is not healthy nor is it helpful. There is coming

a day when God tells us we will weep no more because we will be beyond the things that cause

our tears. Heaven will be a place of no disappointments, so there will be no need for our tears.

Psalm 30:5.

II. THERE WILL BE NO MORE DEATH!

Death was never part of our God’s plan for mankind: Hebrews 2:14-16. Death is no

respecter of persons. Its tendrils creep into the lives of our family members and loved ones,

taking the young and the old alike. Then the pain comes, sorrow bears heavy upon us. We

praise God that there will be no more death when we get to heaven! 1 Corinthians 15:55-57.

Our Lord Jesus told us when we believe in Him we will live even though we die: John 11:25;

John 11:26. In the New Heaven and New Earth we are invited to eat from the tree of life that

Adam and Eve could have eaten from in the Garden of Eden: Revelation 22:1-7. Did you know

that no one ever died in the presence of the Lord? Where Christ is there is no death. We thank

God that when we get to heaven we will never again have to worry about dying.

Revelation 5:9-10.

III. IN HEAVEN THERE WILL BE NO MORE SORROW!

On this present earth all kinds of things can lead to sorrow in our hearts. We should be so

glad that when we get to heaven there will never be anything to bring us sorrow for all eternity.

Psalm 36:7. We don’t have all the answers for our sorrow today, we just need to trust the One

Who does: 1 Peter 5:7. To truly trust in our Lord means although we may not have all the

answers to our problems but we know the One Who does. James 5:11. To trust Him means I

will not complain, even though I don’t like what’s happening in my life right now: Romans 8:28.

We must learn to trust in the promises of our God: Isaiah 41:10; Psalm 18:2. Yes, the day is

coming when there will be no more death, no tears, and no sorrow. Until that time comes we

need to keep our faith in God and lean on Him for our every need: James 4:8.
